Promotion: Press release, direct mail copywriting - $75

Online Promotion: Copy for 3 website pages (215 words each), design of promo button - $160

Book Deal: Copyediting or substantive edit receive 25% discount when purchased with book cover design and jacket copywriting.

Proofreading: Mark misspellings, punctuation errors, and correct typographical errors; check for agreement issues (subject/verb, pronoun/antecedent); mark minor word usage problems; check for line breaks, word spacing; question apparent errors and inconsistencies - $2.95/pg

Copyediting: (includes proofreading) Check grammar, syntax and word usage to preserve author's voice; check sentence structure and reading ease; check for shifts in tense, person, number, and point of view; rewrite sentences if necessary for overall clarity; crosscheck references, notes and other features for consistency within text; keep style and format consistent - $3.75/pg

Substantive Edit: (includes copyediting) Identify areas with inaccuracies; reorganize sentences, paragraphs, sections for clarity; mark areas of concern to improve overall flow and understanding; review sentence structures for variety; check logic and comprehension; check dialogue, plot and character development, setting, and conflict - $4.50/pg

Manuscript Evaluation: In addition to finding the ideas and characters that need strengthening, service includes evaluation of story structure, writing style, opening scene, POV, dialogue, scene structure, character voices, show vs tell, grammar (passive voice, adverbs, adjectives), descriptions, emotions, and redundancies. Author receives a written evaluation plus a follow-up phone consultation once he/she receives the final evaluation. - $350  

All editing is based on The Chicago Manual of Style, 15th edition.

The above prices are for manuscripts. For smaller projects (e.g. newsletters, blog articles), the cost is based on an hourly rate - Proofreading = $20/hr; Copyediting = $30/hr; Substantive Edit = $40/hr. 

Promotional pieces: (Advertisements, business cards, blog cards, mommy cards, postcards, letterhead, logos, brochures, newsletters, catalogs) Initial design generally includes the creation of three separate compositions for the client to choose from. For newsletters, brochures, and catalogs, the three separate compositions are of individual pages, not the entire document. The composition of choice is then revised per the client's specifications. The final layout is returned to the client as a pdf file.

Books: Inside layout - typesetting of front matter, text, back matter; Cover - design of front, back and spine, will obtain images or use author's. All layouts are set to printer specifications and submitted as press quality pdf files. Original files are archived for the client. The client retains the copyright.
